Finley for Circuit Court Judge, Place 6
Finley for Circuit Court Judge The Most Qualified Candidate
I hope you are doing well. I am posting and sharing this message to ask you to consider voting for, and/or supporting, my law partner Karlos Finley in his current bid for Mobile County Circuit Court Judge, Place 6. There are two main reasons why I hope you will give him consideration. First, I believe he is the most qualified and experienced candidate for the position. Second, I believe the citizens of Mobile County deserve an elected official who is truly concerned about our community and committed to making a positive difference.
Before joining our firm in 2008, Karlos served our Country in the United States Coast Guard. He put himself through undergraduate school and law school. After becoming an attorney, he served our community as an Assistant District Attorney where he gained valuable experience and perspective concerning the criminal justice system in Mobile County. While with the District Attorney’s office he also worked at the Strickland Youth Center as a prosecutor. This is one of the reasons for the last ten years Karlos has been active in our community trying to help and encourage at-risk youths to strive for a beneficial and productive life. He has also been a frequent motivational speaker at area middle schools and high schools where he provides a positive message for our students about excelling in school and life. He also serves in leadership roles for numerous non-profit organizations as well as civic groups.
Over the last ten years I have worked with Karlos on numerous civil cases. These cases have ranged from the trial of ordinary or typical car wreck injury claims to extensive work on complex civil cases. These complex cases include a wrongful death products liability case (Estate of Brian Nelson vs. Aqua-Air Manufacturing, et al., 02-CV 2102-900095) and one of the largest anti-trust class actions in the history of the United States. Karlos was corporate counsel for one of the class representatives and participated in critical discovery depositions (In re: Automotive Parts Antitrust Litigation; Wire harness Cases, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, Southern Division, 2:12 CV -00101-MOB). Karlos has even tried a pro bono property condemnation case. Add to this the experience he gained as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Eugene Verin (Ret.) 10th Judicial Circuit and his three years of service to the City of Mobile as a part-time municipal Judge and I think you will agree he is a very well versed lawyer in many areas of the law.
Karlos has the practical experience and temperament needed to be a great Judge. His commitment to our community has been demonstrated by years of “boots on the ground” work and is not simply a by-product of this recent campaign. He has the character and commitment to be a fair and impartial Judge for all of Mobile. I hope you will give him the consideration of your vote on November 6th.
If you would like to learn more about how you can help, visit his campaign web site at https://www.finleyforcircuitjudge.com/ and please encourage your co-workers, friends and family to vote for Karlos on November 6th.
